{"id":248,"date":"2010-06-10T14:55:44","date_gmt":"2010-06-10T13:55:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/aasilencers.co.uk\/blog\/?p=248"},"modified":"2011-08-01T09:53:36","modified_gmt":"2011-08-01T08:53:36","slug":"hot-oil-headache","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/aasilencers.co.uk\/blog\/garage-services\/hot-oil-headache","title":{"rendered":"Hot Oil Headache"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>If you had spent lots of thousands of pounds on a shiny new race engine you&#8217;d want to keep it safe.\u00a0 When this ZR Trophy spec race car was fitted with it&#8217;s new 200BHP Janspeed built K series the owner was told he must be careful not to let the oil overheat.<\/p>\n<p>Oil temperature has never been a problem in the past due to the oil\/water intercooler fitted but now an extra oil\/air cooler was required to satisfy Mr Engine Builder. Space behind the bumper wasn&#8217;t a problem but mismatched pipe threads, odd bore sizes and torturous pipe routes meant this job used a whole weeks worth of swear words in one day.
