{"id":9,"date":"2009-09-24T10:13:54","date_gmt":"2009-09-24T09:13:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.aasilencers.co.uk\/blog\/?p=9"},"modified":"2009-11-20T13:05:49","modified_gmt":"2009-11-20T13:05:49","slug":"september-a-month-for-track-day-toys","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/aasilencers.co.uk\/blog\/garage-services\/september-a-month-for-track-day-toys","title":{"rendered":"Track cars, tyre racks and engines"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We worked with a customer last year organised a charity run in various Datsun Z cars.\u00a0 We only had a small part to play but this year he turned up with a new challenge for us.\u00a0 He had bought a Mitsubishi GTO Turbo as a track day toy nd it needed a bit of work doing.\u00a0 It started with sorting the exhaust and checking it over then squeezing in a couple of bucket seats to it&#8217;s still fully furnished cabin.\u00a0 The car is receiving a shake down at Silverstone when it&#8217;ll doubtlessly return with an extensive list of required develoment work! I suspect better brakes and a bit of a diet will be on the agenda, there&#8217;s loads of potential here just bursting to be unleashed.<\/p>\n<p>We also had another tyre rack to build. This one was for a car transporter although we&#8217;ve done them for trailers and workshops too.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-116\" title=\"DSCF1498\" src=\"http:\/\/aasilencers.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/09\/DSCF1498-300x224.jpg\" alt=\"DSCF1498\" width=\"300\" height=\"224\" srcset=\"http:\/\/aasilencers.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/09\/DSCF1498-300x224.jpg 300w, http:\/\/aasilencers.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/09\/DSCF1498-1024x768.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>There have been plenty of diagnostic and engine rebuilds too.
